Ember Valley Strains Review with Highway Cannabis Dispensary

The Highway Cannabis Dispensary team is thrilled to welcome Ember Valley on as one of our trusted brand partners.  Starting this April, our Marina Del Rey customers can shop the Ember Valley Red line, the Remember Valley line and their prerolls, Ember Valley Darts.

In honor of the brand’s upcoming launch in our Marina Del Rey Dispensary, we conducted an Ember Valley strains review. We’re welcoming Ember Valley onto our shelves because they carry a variety of both classic cannabis strains and newer genetics that we believe our customers will love. We tried all the strains that are launching in store soon, both cannabis flower and prerolls, and have decided which four Ember Valley strains we’re most excited to smoke again!

1. Jack Herer Strain

Jack Herer strain from Ember Valley.

There’s nothing quite like a good Jack Herer strain. A true classic, and classic strains become such for a reason–because they’re so good they withstand the test of time. That is certainly the case with the Jack Herer strain from the Remember Valley line. With a terpene profile dominant in caryophyllene, myrcene, and terpinolene, this uplifting sativa produces a clear-minded, energizing state of bliss.

When I conducted my Ember Valley strains review, it was clear from the first hit that their Jack Herer strain would claim a spot as one of the most anticipated Ember Valley strains. A genetic cross of the Northern Lights #5 strain and Shiva Skunk strain, Jack Herer is truly, the perfect sativa.

If you haven’t ever tried the Jack Herer strain, you should change that as soon as it hits the shelves at Highway Cannabis Dispensary in Marina Del Rey.

2. Point Break Strain

Point Break strain from Ember Valley.

Ember Valley is my first introduction to the Point Break strain and now, after trying it, I can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life without it.  A sativa, the Point Break strain is dominant in caryophyllene, linalool and terpinolene, which gives it a complex gassy yet floral aroma.

A genetic cross of Tropicana Cookies strain and the trophy wife strain, the Point Break strain will launch in our Marina Del Rey Dispensary, Highway Cannabis in the 10 pack of Ember Valley Darts. These sativa prerolls are the perfect partner for any daytime adventure you want to tackle.

3. Purple Octane Strain

Purple Octane Strain from Ember Valley.

Whenever I get the chance to smoke a purple strain, I’m reminded why cannabis is so incredible. During my Ember Valley strains review, I was excited to try the Purple Octane strain simply from seeing its beautiful purple hues. Luckily, the inhale was just as delectable as its appearance.

The Purple Octane strain comes backed with a strong family line. A genetic cross of the Biscotti strain with the Sherb BX1 strain, then crossed again with the Jealousy F2 strain, this indica is potent and powerful.

The Purple Octane strain’s terpene profile includes caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene, which gives it a sweet grape yet fuel-like aroma and taste.  The purple octane strain will be launching at Highway Cannabis in Marina Del Rey in the Ember Valley Red line and I strongly recommend you try it for yourself.

4. Red Runtz Strain

Red Runtz strain from Ember Valley.

If you stay up to date with our Highway Cannabis Dispensary blog, you know we are Runz strain super fans here in Marina Del Rey! Last week, we wrote a whole blog solely dedicated to the Runtz strain, so naturally, Ember Valley’s Red Runtz strain was going to make our list during our Ember Valley strains review.

This hybrid strain has a terpene profile bursting with flavor and is dominant in caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene. I made myself a prerolled joint to enjoy during sunset and after just one hit, I felt the stress of the day fade away. After a few more hits, I sat in awe of the most incredible Venice Beach sunset I’ve ever seen… Was that the joint talking? Perhaps, but either way, I 10/10 recommend trying the Ember Valley Red Runtz strain when it becomes available at Highway Cannabis.

April truly can’t come soon enough because we’re ready to get our hands on these Ember Valley strains again!  When the Red Runtz strain, the Purple Octane strain, Point Break strain and Jack Herer strain become available at Highway Cannabis Dispensary in Marina Del Rey, try them for yourself and let us know what you think.

Beyond these four Ember Valley strains, there’s a whole array of other amazing strains that you’ll be able to try soon from Ember Valley. Likewise, our sister-store, KindPeoples Santa Cruz, conducted their own Ember Valley strains review and their favorites differed from our own. You can read about their choices in the KindPeoples blog.

In the meantime, you can shop our online menu or stop by Highway Cannabis in Marina Del Rey to see what’s currently on shelf.  The biggest day of cannabis culture is only weeks away. Be sure to add our Marina Del Rey 4/20 weed event to your calendar to shop and get storewide savings!
